Rules and eligibility
By submitting an entry, you agree to the Official Entry Rules and acknowledge that the decisions of the adjudicators are binding and final.

Submit through FilmFreeway
Scripts, pitches and other submissions must be submitted via FilmFreeway. Videos must be submitted as a link to a site such as Vimeo.02
Entries must be in English
This year, all entries must be in English.03
Include the entry fee
Each entry must be accompanied by an entry fee in US dollars. The application fee is non-refundable.
Eligibility
The competition is open to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age
or older, or, if under the age of eighteen (18), entries must be
accompanied by written parental consent.
Judging
The official judging panel, consisting of individuals selected by the
Steel Kilt Media Festival at its sole discretion, will make a number of
official selections from all eligible entries received. From these
official selections, winners may be selected and announced at an awards
ceremony, or online. Judging may be based on originality, creativity, and
adherence to formatting and style as appropriate. The judging is
conducted in mid-August.
Award categories
The Steel Kilt Media Festival reserves the right to award a number of
competitive prizes and awards, in categories selected by the festival in
its sole discretion, as it may deem appropriate.
Rights you grant
You hereby grant the Steel Kilt Media Festival all rights necessary to
exhibit and promote the submitted script, art or submission at the 2027
festival. You represent that such exhibition will not violate or infringe
upon any rights whatsoever — including copyright, trademark or contract
right — of any person or entity. You acknowledge that you are authorised
to submit the submitted material and, if selected, will have the option
to have your work published in our anthology, under a separate agreement.
