Judges
We are looking for judges to participate in the selection process this summer. Selection committee members are drawn from all walks of life and from different sectors of the creative arts. We need artists and creatives of all types, as well as academics and hands-on professionals from different spheres.
All scoring takes place on the FilmFreeway platform. You are given access to the Steel Kilt scorecards and materials there, and you view the submissions and enter your scores there — that is the only way submissions are viewed and scores are entered.
If you are interested in joining the team, get in touch and tell us your professional experience, preferences and availability. If you are selected, you must agree not to tell others that you will be a judge in the festival.
Partnerships
We are always on the lookout for new partners. We seek media partnerships of all kinds to help spotlight our newly discovered creators. We are also looking to partner with YouTubers and podcasters to co-host upcoming events, and we are open to partnerships with events in the United States and Canada interested in hosting the 2027 Steel Kilt Media Festival.

Scholarships
We provide financial assistance to allow financially disadvantaged creators to submit to Steel Kilt. We can provide a waiver code to reduce the cost of entry to the festival.
We cannot send money to creators, nor can we help cover the cost of creating your work. We only allow submissions through FilmFreeway, and can only provide waiver codes.
